How we migrated over 9000 pages of content, 1300 products in over 20 languages within 6 months for Scholl!

Scholl is the leading global foot care brand with products sold in over 50 countries.

To coincide with a new global product launch we were given the challenge of designing and creating 3 digital campaigns across 26 markets, while undertaking the full global site design and migration to Umbraco 7. Plus the rollout of 45 individual market sites, all within a very tight deadline of 6 months.







What we did:

  • Successfully launched 26 campaign sites across 14 key Scholl markets for Phase 1
  • Launched 4 priority market sites within 2 months for Phase 2
  • Migrated 45 Scholl websites in 20 languages containing over 9000 pages of content and 1300 products
  • Designed and created Umbraco CMS video tutorials for the brand managers and agency partners to help with ongoing maintenance of the sites
  • Simplified the site’s IA, creating a cleaner journey and improving product and brand engagement

How we did it:

With only 6 months to complete the project, efficiency and planning were key. We created a cross-functional team that covered user experience, web design, information architecture, content delivery, Umbraco development and project management.

We built the master site, simplifying the content and quickly delivering a set of high fidelity wireframes. The cleaner design and architecture meant our content delivery specialists could coordinate with developers and translators, to begin individually rolling out the remaining 45 sites.

Fundamental to the project was managing relationships between each of the local markets and their translation, SEO and media agencies to ensure localised content was created and delivered in time for launch.
