Anthony Dang is Leaving Cogworks

The end of an era…

Today (10th of May, 2019) is my last day at The Cogworks.

I started with the company as a freelancer back in 2011 when it was only 5 people in a basement. A few months later they hired me back and subsequently sponsored my visa. By 2015 we were around 35 people, and we had moved offices twice. I was here through all the excitement, all the ups & downs, and all growing pains. I learned a crazy amount of knowledge and skills in the process.

Cogworks gave me the opportunity to create my own path and do what I really loved. We made some great products and worked with great people. I will especially miss all the developer banter. I love you guys!

One my favourite things about being at Cogworks was being part of organising the Umbraco UK Festival, Umbraco Poland Festival, Hackthons, meetups and countless other events. Do you remember the Umbraco UK Festival at the Church with all those uncomfortable church pews and horrible audio visual? Yes I helped to organise that one. :)

Fast forward to 2019, I have to say that the last 7.5 years have definitely been a wild ride. I am thankful for all the learning and experiences, and for the opportunity to grow as a person. It is with some sadness that I am leaving, but it is time for the next chapter in my life.

What am I doing next? I have no solid plans, and will let the universe guide me. I will still be active in the Umbraco community, so expect to see me at a conference or meetup.

Thank you Cogworks for the last 7.5 years.
